The white harvest has begun
We have reunited with our "small team" of grape pickers to begin the harvest of our Sauvignon Blanc. Having reached the mid-veraison stage nine days earlier than last year, we were anticipating an exceptionally early start to the harvest. Indeed, the picking of the white grapes began very early, on friday the 7th of august.
Despite the high temperatures and water deficit of recent weeks, the vines are in good health. The clusters present medium-sized berries, and the first tastings are very promising; the grapes are already offering excellent aromatic expression while retaining a pleasant freshness.
In a few days, our vineyard team and pickers will have finished harvesting the 11 hectares of Sauvignon Blanc. We will then see them again in a few weeks to start the red harvest, which also promises to be an early one.
