We welcomed a large team of 250 people for our red grape harvest which began on Friday 27 September. Among them were a few regulars, some of them neighbours, and some from more distant regions. These grape-pickers have strong ties to the region and, with every passing day, we enjoyed witnessing their enthusiasm and meticulous attention.
Like every year, we bring our harvest to a close with a certain amount of emotion for this time spent together. We are also relieved to have benefited from relatively fine weather conditions over the past weeks.
The first batch of Merlot grapes have finished fermenting and we have begun running off the wine. We look forward to the tasting with great hope. As for our great Cabernets, the fermentation process is nearing its end and we should be able to begin our tasting in just a few days.
