Completed in 1815, the Château Margaux estate was designed like a small village. Housing numerous buildings and workshops, the property enjoyed considerable self-sufficiency for its time. Today, we maintain this approach and employ dozens of different trades within the estate, ensuring its smooth operation.
At the heart of the craftman’s courtyard are our general services workshops. A s a true support service, they maintain the estate’s heritage as well as essential equipment, such as the estate’s tractors. On a daily basis, our tractor drivers perform their own maintenance, but they can also rely on our mechanics for any major repairs. And once a year, while our vineyard workers continue their winter tasks in the vineyards, our mechanics carry out maintenance on all the estate’s tractors. Oil changes, filter and tire replacements, hydraulic system checks… they perform comprehensive vehicle maintenance to ensure drivers have optimal performance from their work tools.
In total, 15 tractors for the vineyard service and 3 tractors for the garden team are fully serviced from December to the end of February. This collaborative work contributes daily to the excellence of the estate.
