Veraison: the beginning of grape ripening in our vineyards

Veraison has begun in our plots, marking a key stage in the vine’s cycle. Red grapes gradually turn from green to dark red, while white grapes evolve from opaque green to translucent, sometimes golden, hues.

A crucial stage in grape ripening

Veraison signals the end of sensitivity to mildew and the beginning of grape ripening. At this stage, the berry skins become thinner, and the grapes swell and soften. This is also the time when aromatic compounds develop: sugar content increases, acidity decreases, and the wine’s future aromas begin to intensify.

Harvest Preparation: Monitoring each plot

With veraison begins the countdown to harvest time. Our technical teams now precisely monitor the development of each grape variety to determine the ideal harvest time. Sauvignon Blancs will be the first to be harvested, followed by the red varieties, starting with Merlot, always the first to reach maturity.

A new vintage in preparation

The harvest for the new vintage is approaching. Our teams continue to precisely monitor the ripening process in each plot to determine the optimal harvest time. This rigorous monitoring allows us to guarantee that grapes are harvested at full maturity, essential for producing quality wines.
