We will soon finish harvesting our Merlot under a still splendid sun! The heat and drought of the past few weeks have prompted us to speed up the pace a bit in order to harvest the grapes with optimum sugar concentration. As always, guided by the search for balance, it seems to us that the conditions to achieve this balance have changed slightly over time: whereas before, the maturity of the grapes and the threat of rain encouraged us to harvest our Merlots, today it is more their concentration in sugars and the good weather which pushes us to harvest.
We look forward to welcoming the full harvest team on Monday and starting the harvest of the very promising Cabernet Sauvignons!
